Nigeria’s digital economy is witnessing rapid growth as more young people turn to technology-driven skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Across major cities such as Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, tech hubs and innovation centers are expanding, offering training in software development, digital marketing, and creative technology.

“Technology has become the new oil,” said Aisha Bello, a digital skills trainer at a Lagos-based tech hub. “Young Nigerians are realizing that they can compete globally from anywhere.”

According to recent industry reports, Nigeria now hosts over 90 active tech hubs, with many focused on empowering students and recent graduates. These centers provide mentorship, co-working spaces, and access to startup funding.
